SOCIAL EVENTS
SWE organizes social events to bring members together, fostering friendships and connections within the engineering community. These gatherings provide a relaxed environment for networking and support, contributing to member well-being and empowerment.
PROFESSIONAL EVENTS
One of our biggest missions is to provide meaningful events that will help our members after college. We host resume workshops, Linkedin crash courses, company tours, Q&A's with successful women in engineering, and many more.
VOLUNTEERING
URI SWE also provides many opportunities to volunteer. Members can volunteer monthly with our SWENext club, Little SWEsters. We also volunteer with tutoring groups and girl scout troops, upon request.
WOMEN IN ENGINEERING DAY
Women in Engineering Day is a day long event for high school juniors and seniors to come to URI and see what it is like to be an engineering major at URI. The day includes a student panel, a tour of URI's new Fascitelli Center for Advanced Engineering, lunch at the dining hall, and the opportunity to sit in on actual classes. There is also a secondary schedule for parents and family members to experience URI engineering.
